This is a heartbreaking story, about two people who suffered a lot, but in the end managed to find their HEA.

Jack & Rosalind were happily married, until a tragedy tore them appart their son died. Well tragedy, and Jack's guilt. They are still in love, after everything that happened, but it took Jack some time to admit it.

Now they are guardian's to Jake's orphaned nephews and niece. The children are grieving, and that makes it even harder for everyone to settle in.

Most of the book is focused on Jake&Rosalind's relationship with the kids, but this time I didn't mind that at all. Especially since it was necessary for Jack to come to terms with loving and caring for the kids.

The person whose behaviour I can't understand is Fiona. She went from willing to do anything to get the custody to simply stepping back. I understand that grief does terrible thing to a person, but still, the few scenes from Fiona's POV didn't quite mash with her turnabout in the ending. Also the way that Jack embraced Fiona after her stunts was a bit too neat.

BTW, Jack is Luke's (hero from Mr. Unforgettable) foster brother. Luke is mentioned a couple of times in the book.
