I loved the book.

Bianca is a great narrator. She is interesting, funny, not always honest to herself, but we all have that particular flaw. She is friend with Casey and Jessica, who are tall thin, blond, and fit the image of an ideal girl. Bianca in comparison, isn't as attractive, and Wesley informs her of that by calling her DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). She hates him, but she finds out that he is a perfect distraction from everything that's happening in her life.

Wesley is shallow and not so likable in the beginning, but throughout the book, he develops, or maybe a better description, he lets us see beneath the mask he wears. I liked him very much.

Bianca & Wesley's relationship isn't a usual one. They use each other, but even then they share each others lives and secrets. And they become friends.

The other characters in the book are real as well. Bianca's friends aren't the stereotype shallow popular girls.

Also, not much teenage drama, which is always a plus. :-)
